SokoFlax is a platform that helps small and medium sellers manage inventory, record sales, and publish an online storefront. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and business name, provided when you register.
Authentication data. Passwords are never stored in readable form; they are stored as cryptographic hashes.
Business records. Products, stock levels, prices, sales transactions, and customer records that you enter into the app.
Images. Product and storefront photographs that you upload or generate through the app.
Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as app version, device model, and error reports, used to diagnose crashes and improve reliability.

How we use information

To operate your account and provide the service.
To sync your data across your devices.
To publish the storefront content you choose to make public.
To diagnose faults and improve performance and security.
To communicate with you about your account or the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Sharing and third parties

We share information only with service providers that help us run SokoFlax, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. These may include cloud hosting and database providers, error monitoring services, and messaging or payment providers where you have enabled those features. Each is bound to handle your data solely on our instructions.

Content you publish to your public storefront is, by design, visible to anyone with the link.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records to comply with legal obligations.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data. Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you also have the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed infrastructure with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

Children

SokoFlax is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
